The automotive industry has always been the main field for the application of robots. The hot die forging production line usually consists of two die forging presses, one for stamping and the other for trimming. The integrated application of hot die forging robots usually involves two robots. One is responsible for transferring the hot materials processed by the medium-frequency furnace to the stamping and forming die forging press, and the other is responsible for taking materials from the stamping and forming die forging press and moving them to another die forging press for trimming. To prevent the hot stamped workpieces from sticking to the molds, graphite lubrication needs to be performed on the molds after each stamping. This lubrication can be accomplished by the robots or through a dedicated mechanism. Due to the harsh environment of forging, which is high-temperature, high-humidity, and with graphite lubrication, special attention should be paid to the protection of hot die forging robots and the heat radiation resistance of the robots themselves. The 4-5-6 axis motors of the hot die forging robot have a structural feature of self-removal from heat radiation at the connection between the robot's upper arm and lower arm. Electronic cam control systems are installed on the die forging presses to coordinate the operation of the die forging presses and the robots, thereby improving processing efficiency and enhancing the safety of the system.
