A horizontal automatic bolt forging production line, custom-built for a railway equipment enterprise in Suzhou, Jiangsu, has recently completed all assembly and commissioning work and officially shipped out, heading directly to the customer's production site and laying a solid foundation for on-site installation and production start-up.
The customer is a long-time player in the railway supporting equipment sector with strict requirements for the blank forming process of large-size long bolts. The bolt specifications involved cover M24–M42, with lengths ranging from 100 mm to 1,200 mm. In March this year, the customer brought product drawings and held in-depth technical discussions with our team. Based on the customer's product parameters and actual production conditions, we delivered a complete hot forging blank process solution, together with trial dies and a full set of technical drawings. After multiple rounds of technical discussion and continuous optimization, the solution fully meets the manufacturing requirements of railway fasteners.
The two parties finalized the project order in mid-June. The project adopts the horizontal automatic bolt forging production line, specially designed for the hot forging of large-size, long-shank bolts. The whole line carries out a continuous process from bar stock feeding and heating to forging forming and blank discharge, significantly reducing manual involvement while ensuring consistent blank forming quality, and fully satisfying the needs of large-batch railway fastener production.
After the order was confirmed, all departments of the company worked in close coordination to carry out equipment manufacturing, parts assembly, and machine commissioning in an orderly manner. The technical team followed the project throughout, verifying core links such as equipment operating status and process parameter matching item by item, and repeatedly polishing the equipment against the project's technical standards to ensure all performance indicators were met, successfully completing all pre-delivery preparations and achieving a smooth shipment.
Railway fasteners operate under complex working conditions and demand extremely high product strength and forming quality. This customized complete-line project marks another successful practice of ours in the automation of large-size long bolt hot forging.
